VIII International Symposium of Symposium on sculpture of art students of the CIS countries

From August 29 to September 11, 2016 at the “Burganov House” Museum will be held Symposium on sculpture of art students of the CIS countries. The event is supported by the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS countries and the Department of Culture of Moscow.
At present, the society was faced with a large-scale reassessment of cultural values and cultural space has become more like a multidirectional element. In these circumstances, it is important that young people have not lost the right coordinate system of general cultural and educational space, organically linking traditions and modernity. the Symposium events aim to solve this problem.
The symposium will be held for the eighth time. During the Symposium more than 100 art students of the CIS countries became its participants. They all continue to communicate actively, strengthening and developing friendly and creative contacts between the peoples of the Commonwealth countries.
Many of them work as teachers in the national artistic universities, actively using the experience of the Symposium in the field of education.
The program of the Symposium includes:
-Classes of the educators from the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Stroganov Moscow state academy of Arts and industry, contemporary artists-sculptors with participants
– Lectures of leading experts in the field of contemporary art
– Workshops in creative ateliers of Moscow artists-sculptors
– Independent work of participants under the guidance of curators to create works on the precise theme
– The preparation and holding of the exhibition of participants works, followed by the inclusion of a permanent exhibition center in the “Burganov House” museum – “Young artists of the CIS countries”
– Excursions with visiting of the museums, galleries, exhibition halls
– Preparation and publication of the exhibition catalogue
– Round tables on the discussiom of the problems of the current state of education in the arts in the CIS countries, develop recommendations.
The students of creative high schools of Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Moldova, Republic of Uzbekistan will participate in the symposium.
